Meet Ann Carpentier Standish, our senior container designer, crew chief, client budgeting specialist, trend-spotter, and style-changer! Any time the season changes you will find Ann designing new containers. Designing unique containers and garden beds is clearly her passion. Ann appreciates most the great team she gets to work with every day. She is also motivated by the constant change in the business. We are lucky to have such an enthusiastic designer on our team!
Accreditation and Education:
- A.A.S in Landscape Design/Construction from Hennepin Technical College.
- Formal training in Floral Design
- Minnesota Department of Transportation License
- Pesticide Applicators License
- MNLA Certified Professional since 2003
- Master Gardener since 2008
Personal Info:
As one of our year-round employees, Ann has only one month of the year when she isn’t hand-tying bows or planting something special for her clients. Ann spends her spare time gardening at her own house and parenting and playing with her 5-year-old son Cyrus.
Favorite Garden to Visit:
The Marjorie McNealy Conservatory in St. Paul, MN, and the University of Hawaii ‘s Lyon Arboretum on the island of Oahu.
Ann’s most memorable and amazing garden experience was while driving the road to Hana on the island of Maui. The Garden of Eden there was fascinating, but the drive there was equally spectacular. The small grove of Rainbow Eucalyptus trees along the drive will forever remain one of the most awe-inspiring natural plant sightings she has encountered.
