Plymouth Yard and Garden EXPO set for April 3 and 4
Plymouth, Minnesota
Milder weather will soon be on the way and we all will be itching to start on spring projects, but when, where, what and how? Get help planning your warm weather projects at the annual Plymouth Yard and Garden EXPO on Fri., April 3, 6 – 9 p.m., and Sat., April 4, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Ave. N., Plymouth. Admission is $3. Youth 15 and under are free.
This year, the EXPO is featuring two very special guests, landscape and gardening experts Bobby Jensen (KARE 11’s Grow with KARE) and Heidi Heiland (KARE 11 & Cable 12TV). Jensen, who owns Landscape Junction, Inc., will appear on Friday and Heiland, owner of Heidi’s Lifestyle Gardens, will be on-site Saturday. Both will share their expertise and answer your gardening questions.
Both Friday and Saturday, the Plymouth field house at Plymouth Creek Center will be filled with family-friendly activities. Among the many attractions and activities the expo will feature are:
Proceeds from the Yard and Garden EXPO benefit the Plymouth Millennium Garden. The Millennium Garden, which is adjacent to the Plymouth Creek Center, was made possible through a combination of City funding and contributions from individuals and businesses. The garden has many facets - flower gardens with plant information, benches, a brick walkway, artwork, a fountain, and open green space. The City has enhanced wetlands near the garden with native plant buffers. The Millennium Garden is open daily May through September.
The Plymouth Yard and Garden EXPO is sponsored by the City of Plymouth, Lakeshore Weekly News and Cable 12 Television.
